THE BAY STATE PUBLIC HEALTH TRAINING HUB
The Office of Local and Regional Health promotes and supports the development of inter-municipal shared service agreements (cross-jurisdictional sharing) that contribute to improvements in local public health capacity. By pooling resources, functions, and expertise, a consortium of cities and towns, especially the smaller communities, may improve compliance with the performance standards and expand the public health services they offer residents within their community. The Bay State Public Health Training Hub encompasses twenty-six cities and towns united between five public health community partnerships, along with two non-PHE funded communities. (See Map)

The New Bedford Health Department hosts its first in-person
Massachusetts Tier 2 local public health inspector training, Boston University's LPHIT Course!
The in-person Tier-2 training sessions commenced on October 23rd & 24th for Boston University's latest LPHIT course (Local Public Health Inspector Training). We are privileged to have the New Bedford Health Department awarded as host. It was a pleasure having such a diverse group of minds surrounding us for two days of learning & group exercises with such a profound cohort.
