the Housing Competency. As an inspector, utilizing Housing Court for the first time can be an intimidating and confusing task. The
challenge of navigating cases through Housing Court can quickly become stressful if you’re not prepared, even if your case is solid.
Housing Court filings & their procedures are often a process that departments & their staff are unaccustomed to or rarely utilize.
This presentation aims to provide an overview of the Housing Court process, including when to use Housing Court, how to file a
case, the various types of cases, and proceeding through the Housing Court process in your effort to gain compliance.
